About Us
Entwined Ecologies highlights the intricate dynamics among and within natural & social systems; a panarchy of nested, interconnected branches of Ecology
Strengths for Success
Extensive wildlife research and field work experience across ecosystems (i.e. marine, freshwater lakes and wetlands, alpine, semi-arid desert, interior plateau, temperate rainforest) and a wide range of species (i.e. amphibians, large carnivores, meso-carnivores, ungulates, marine mammals, fish, avians, invertebrates)
Multimillion dollar project budget management, logistics and implementation
Accurate and thorough technical reporting and publications
Trusted relationships with Indigenous Communities and First Nation Treaty Governments: fisheries and wildlife stewardship, traditional foods, formation of self-governing laws and policies, and active participation in government-to-government decision-making processes
Entwined Ecologies specializes in marine, freshwater, and terrestrial ecosystem research with stewardship frameworks rooted in coexistence and connectivity.

The Entwined Philosophy
Impactful environmental stewardship succeeds with rigorous data collection supported within cumulative ecological processes and through engaged social systems
Field work is critical to any ecological program; thorough initial research plans form the basis for successful, organized data collection
Place-based, generational knowledge is vital to the longevity of ecological stewardship
Our Connected Approach
Data-informed, systems-level approaches supporting dynamic, ecological challenges
Interconnected, socio-ecological project management within long-term stewardship frameworks
Supporting comprehensive, systems-informed decision making and governance operations
Ultimate respect for shared local, indigenous knowledge; acknowledging historical, reciprocal, ecological relationships
